Custom Garden Fence in Western Springs, IL

A Custom Fence Built with Larger Posts and Rails

Located on a corner lot in Western Springs, IL, this project called for a fence with a more substantial look and a dedicated entrance to the backyard garden. The homeowner requested 6-by-6 posts and a 2-by-4 top rail in place of the standard 1-by-4 rail to give the fence a heavier appearance.

A Double Gate with a Double Halo Arbor

A standout feature of this project is the double gate with a double halo arbor, which creates an entrance from the sidewalk into the backyard garden. The arbor frames the entry and adds a distinctive architectural detail to the fence.

The larger posts and top rail give the fence the stronger visual presence the homeowner wanted, while the double gate provides access to the garden area.
