Custom Front Yard Fencing in Naperville, IL

A Front Yard Fence Built with a New Puppy in Mind

Located on a corner lot just a few blocks from downtown Naperville’s restaurants and shops, this project involved enclosing the front yard for a homeowner’s new puppy. The homeowner wanted a fence that would keep the dog safely in the yard while maintaining the property’s appearance and providing convenient access from the street.

First Fence installed a 4-foot black aluminum fence with puppy pickets. These closely spaced lower pickets help prevent a small dog from slipping through the openings. The fence height also follows the city’s front yard fence limit for this property.

A Double Gate for a Wide Entryway

Rather than installing one oversized gate across the wide entryway, we used a double gate. This approach provides access to the front yard while giving the entrance a balanced appearance that complements the black aluminum fence.

Additional Fencing and Property Improvements

The project extended beyond the front yard. First Fence also completed several fencing projects in the backyard, including fencing around the pool area, along with a small garbage enclosure near the driveway. Since the garbage cans faced the street, the enclosure provides a neater way to screen them from view.

We also completed fencing at the neighboring property, beginning with a 6-foot traditional wood fence featuring upgraded 6-by-6 posts and 2-by-6 rails instead of standard 2-by-4 rails. The fence was pre-stained in Mountain Ash for a finished look. A white vinyl fence was also installed near the outdoor patio and fire pit area, providing some privacy while complementing the home’s exterior.

The front yard at the original property was finished with the black aluminum fence, creating a clear boundary that suits the corner lot and the homeowner’s needs.
